TSI Healthcare Hosts Inaugural Rheumatology User Group Meeting

Chapel Hill, NC – TSI Healthcare, the national leader in the sales and support of customized rheumatology specific solutions, hosted its inaugural Rheumatology User Group Meeting August 2-3, 2019 in its home state of North Carolina. This meeting was the first of its kind for independent rheumatologists and other rheumatology professionals.

The meeting, hosted at the Carolina Inn in Chapel Hill, surpassed one hundred attendees including rheumatologists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, CEOs, practice administrators, office managers, and super users who work in independent rheumatology practices across the nation. TSI Healthcare clients of all sizes converged to hear best practices for reducing EHR “clicks,” streamlining documentation, reducing costs, navigating MIPS, and integrating new technology into their practices. Throughout the meeting, a hands-on area provided clients with the opportunity to obtain one-on-one assistance from TSI Healthcare’s trainers and support team members also in attendance.

“Attending a User Group Meeting designed specifically for rheumatology provided me with useful workflow ideas by being able to see what other practices like ours are doing,” said Carmen McDaniels, Clinical Care Coordinator for Carolina Specialty Care. “Every session was catered toward rheumatology so the information was appropriately scaled and very specific.”

Featured presenters included TSI Healthcare team members and highly respected knowledge experts from some of the nation’s largest rheumatology practices. Dr. Colin Edgerton, Executive Chairman and CMO of Articularis Rheumatology Network, presented the first electronic, payer approved Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) Pathway, which is integrated into TSI Healthcare’s EHR. Angel Magar, CEO of Arizona Arthritis & Rheumatology Associates, shared best practices for effectively managing an infusion suite.

“TSI Healthcare assembled a first-class group of presenters. We learned from others how to enhance our infusion business by looking at other models of efficiency,” said Dr. Clarence (“Chip”) Legerton, III, Managing Partner for Low Country Rheumatology. “There was also a lot of interaction with practices from across the country about the use of the only EHR integrated pathway for Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA). The RA Pathway is successful and has been contracted by a payer, giving us a great opportunity to participate in a value-based partnership with payers.”

“TSI Healthcare has remained dedicated to serving independent rheumatology practices for nearly a decade. It made perfect sense to bring our rheumatology clients and team members together for this inaugural meeting to allow them to learn from each other to continuously improve the system’s ease of use and functionality,” said David M. Dickson, Jr., TSI Healthcare’s Founder, President, and CEO. “We are humbled by the turnout and proud of everyone who invested in the success of this meeting.”

Exhibitors were among some of the leading rheumatology focused companies in the health IT industry including the American College of Rheumatology’s (ACR) RISE Registry, Articularis Rheumatology Network GPO, CoverMyMeds®, Luma Health™, M*Modal® (now a part of 3M®), Metro Medical®, McKesson, the National Organization of Rheumatology Managers (NORM), OTech Group, OTTO Health, Oxford Immunotec USA, Inc., TheraTest, Inc.™, and United Rheumatology.
