GPRO 2016 Registration

• What is GPRO Reporting?
  • GPRO (Group Practice Reporting Option) allows all eligible providers (EPs) under one TIN to report PQRS data collectively as a group, rather than separately as individuals.
  • Advantage: Individual EPs who have not seen enough patients or have lower percentages can be brought up by the “average” of the group.
  • Disadvantage: The same measures must be reported for all providers that bill under the TIN.
• Who can participate in GPRO reporting?
  • All practices with 2+ EPs billing under your group TIN are eligible to register as a GPRO.
  • If a practice is registered as a GPRO, all providers under that TIN must report using this method.
• When can my practice register?
  • GPRO registration is open from April 1-June 30, 2016. Practices wishing to register as a GPRO must do so during this open enrollment period.
• How does my practice register?
  • Follow these instructions carefully:
    • Please visit the PV-PQRS Registration System found in the CMS Portal.
    • To login, you will use your Individuals Authorized Access to the CMS Computer Services (IACS) credentials (now known as Enterprise Identity Management or “EIDM”).
      • Have an IACS but not EIDM account? Click here for instructions on how to migrate your IACS to EIDM.
      • Have neither IACS nor EIDM? Click here for guidance on how to create an EIDM account from scratch.
  • During registration, you will be prompted to indicate how you plan to report your providers 2016 PQRS data. It is very important that you select the correct reporting option!
    • If you plan to use the HQM Portal to report PQRS, please choose the “Qualified PQRS Registry” Option, NOT EHR REPORTING.
    • Starting in 2016, some QCDRs (RISE, IRIS, AXON, DataDerm, AQUA, Pinnacle, Diabetes Collaborative, etc.) will allow practices to report as a GPRO. Before selecting this option, please confirm with your QCDR that it is supporting GPRO submissions in 2016.
